Spyder Movie Story:
Spyder revolves around the story of RAW agent Shiva (Mahesh Babu), who has a three-stage plan to attack the bioterrorism. Shiva is entrusted with the task to take down a psychotic terrorist who has unleashed a wave of terror in the city of Hyderabad. SJ Surya is the man behind the terrorist spider web and uses a virus to kill people. He traps a doctor (Rakul Preet Singh), who unknowingly helps him to transfer the virus. How Shiva stops Surya’s terrorist activities forms the crux of the story.
Spyder Movie Review:
Mahesh’s character who looks calm and composed and not the loud one which we are used to. As RAW agent, Mahesh Babu has delivered a sterling performance, which is the highlight of Spyder. As a villain, SJ Surya’s acting is another big attraction of the film. Rakul Preet plays his love interest and seems to have a limited role, But she manages to impress you with her glamour and chemistry with Mahesh.
Bharath, RJ Balaji, Priyadarshi, Shaji Chen and others have done justice to their roles, say the viewers. Top-notch technicians in cinematographer Santhosh Sivan and editor Sreekar Prasad have shouldered their responsibilities well. Music director Harris Jayaraj, though, seems to have had a surprisingly off-time with the songs. The background music is apt though it is significantly reminiscent of several popular scores.
Review: The movie has significantly given hope in the first half. The interval fight is okay with some action but in the second half, the CG and background score are the highlights with no interesting plot to offer. The movie lovers have nothing much to expect but the bottom line of the movie is a freshness in the story is because of Mahesh Babu and the Background score. Mahesh Babu who gives his 100% efforts to satisfy the directors once again did his best but they go in vain due to the mediocre screenplay.
Ramesh Bala Review: “An Intelligent Spy Thriller. Cleverly written for most parts. Good Message. Nice Entertainment Elements. A Good Watch. Mahesh makes a Top-notch debut in Tami. Soft-spoken hero. Shows aggression wherever required. Tamil diction 👌. #SJSuriyah – What a Performance by him. His confrontation scenes with @urstrulyMahesh ‘s character r brilliant. Rakulpreet makes a good comeback to Tamil. Whatever written 4 her role – She has performed well. Looks Gorgeous in Songs”
Spyder Movie Rating: 3/5
