Kaattu Review & Story Plot:

Kaattu Movie Story:

Set in the rustic terrains during the late 70’s. The story of Kaattu is set in a village near the Palakkad-Tamil Nadu border region and the movie takes us through the lives of a few people who work in a fire-cracker unit. Chellapan (Murali Gopy) is the prominent person among them. Nuhukannu (Asif Ali) is a person who has come from another place. Kaattu takes us through their lives and the movie has a revenge tale to narrate.

Arun Kumar Aravind’s Kaattu is a slice-of-life tale between love and society during the late 70s, with lead characters inspired by the P. Padmaraja’s short stories. The film has been garnering attention for all the right reasons- for being an adaptation of one of Padmarajan’s masterpieces, having the actors, especially Asif Ali, clothed in a rugged and rustic look, which is a never before seen avatar.

Kaattu Movie Review:

Kaattu is a slice of tale between love and society during the late 70s. The first half is Average, followed by a below average 2nd half. Though the film has a lot of emotional values between love tales shown between Varalaxmi and Asif Ali. The storytelling in the film shows how society traditions impacted life back in the seventies. The subject of the film is very delicate and must watch to regain the knowledge and see the difference in our society now. Overall,  the Disappointing film from Arun Kumar Aravind.
