Karuppan Review & Story Plot:

Karuppan Movie Story:

The film Set in a village backdrop, Karuppan is an unemployed young man who literally is good at taking the bull by the horns. He loves taking part in the village Jallikattu and always snags the winner’s medal. At one such event, the organiser, Maayi (Pasupathy) agrees to marry his sister Anbu (Tanya Ravichandran) to Karuppan if he manages to tame his ferocious bull. Kathir (Bobby Simha) has an interest for Anbu (Tanya Ravichandran). It is when Karuppan marries Anbu that trouble starts between the two families. What does Kathir do to create problems? forms the crux of Karuppan.

Tipped to be a rural entertainer, Karuppan film has a nativity subject. It has Vijay Sethupathi playing the titular role of a bull tamer and movie doesn’t talk about Jallikattu. what happens to him and bobby the antagonist, How Vijay is going to defeat him forms the crux of the story.

Karuppan Movie Review:

Set in a rural background, the film is an action thriller. Vijay Sethupathi look, however, seems to be indicative of his character when he was young. The signature beard and mustache style that Sethupathi had donned while shooting for the film is missing. Villains from Karuppan are terrifying, it gives us the feeling that we are witnessing Karuppan movie in the real world. The reason for that is the reality in the characters created by the director.

It is the first time he will be seen as the bull tamer but the makers cleared this air already that the film doesn’t talk about Jallikattu of the Tamil Nadu. The film has been predominantly shot in Theni and is set in its neighbouring towns and villages. D Imman has scored the music for the film and Sakthi has done the cinematography.

Highlights:

  • Vijay Sethupathi performances
  • realistic village based story
  • Comedy & sentimental Touch

Verdict: Karuppan clean rural family entertainer, one again Vijay Sethupathi steals the show with his fun, atrocity, action and emotions.Director Panneerselvam has executed the movie with perfection.  it’s a decent watch this festival season.

Karuppan Movie Rating: 3.5/5
