On Wednesday (November 29) Sathyanarayana Rao Gaekwad was in Dharmapuri to participate in the wedding of Rajinikanth fan club district secretary Gandhi’s son. He interacted with the media and said that the superstar does indeed plan to enter politics but will launch his party in January as opposed to December 12.
He said Rajinikanth will announce his political entry and his party in January 2018. He also said that Rajinikanth would organise a photoshoot with his fans in January in the coming year and added it is “at that time, he will make the announcement about his political entry and his party.”
Earlier, Rajinikanth had said that there is no urgency for him to enter politics right now. “There is no pressing need for a foray into politics right now,” Rajinikanth told reporters at the Chennai airport. He had also said that he will meet his fans “only after my birthday.” His brother had earlier hinted that Rajinikanth will float a political party this year.
On the other hand, ‘2.0’ is touted to be a sci-fi thriller and has been directed by S Shankar. A sequel to ‘Enthiran’, it will see him reprise his Chitti character from the first part and is slated to hit screens in April 2018. Besides Rajinikanth, it also has Amy Jackson and Akshay Kumar in the lead.
