‘2.0’ is the most eagerly awaited movie of the entire nation now. A while ago, the makers of Rajinikanth’s magnum opus ‘2.0’ confirmed that their film would release on April 27, 2018, and gave movie buffs a reason to rejoice. There is no need to talk about the expectations of the audience on the film.
However, it seems that this announcement hasn’t gone down too well with several Telugu filmmakers who have been planning to release their films on the same date. Addressing this difficult situation, producer Bunny Vas said that Lyca’s decision was going to affect other regional films and said that he would discuss the matter with the producer council of Telangana and AP.
Bunny Vas also expressed his displeasure through his Facebook. He wrote that “Lyca Productions(2.0). We respect your movie but you are changing the release dates affecting the regional movie release dates a lot. Me(Naa Peru Surya) and Danayya garu (Bharath Anu Nenu) are in talks for an understanding. I will take this issue to the producer council and exhibitor associations in AP& Telangana. We stand for our date commitment. May this be helpful to regional movie releases in future also.”
Tollywood producers have recently come to an agreement that at whatever point Telugu biggies are releasing, dubbing films should not be permitted to release. So Bunny Vas isn’t supportive of April 27 arrival of ‘2.0’. If the ‘2.0’ makers don’t get enough number of theaters for their film, they may need to change the release date. Anyway, it is to be seen how these films and their makers deal with the scenario.
