Popular Telugu hero Nandamuri Balakrishna on Saturday, February 3rd, underwent a surgery successfully for the rotator cuff tear of the shoulder. Balayya, as he’s fondly called by his fans, sustained the injury while he was shooting for Krish-directed 2017 historic drama Gautamiputra Satakarni.
Doctors advised him to undergo surgery then after giving first aid. Due to his back-to-back Paisa Vasool and Jai Simha shooting, Balakrishna couldn’t take time to attend to his shoulder and postponed the surgery plan on multiple occasions, only to make things worse.
After experiencing issues with the shoulder again, he went to a private hospital on Saturday where doctors advised to undergo surgery immediately and successfully conducted surgery on him. Doctors Deepti Nandanreddy and Asish Babulkar termed the surgery as successful. Today the actor discharged from hospital after shoulder surgery.
The 57-year-old actor, currently basking in the success of his Sankranti release Jai Simha, has begun shooting for the NTR biopic under the direction of Teja, in which he plays his late father and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao. The film will be released by the end of this year.
